As they're stamped out they may need a touch up with a small file to take off any burrs and stop them cutting the thread. Or for your ultra threadcounting orfentic special(well almost) unwrap a wire coat hanger(liberated mine from a hotel =o), wrap wire in a tight spiral round a dowel of the required size (5/16ths POC arrow shaft), slide off dowel and clip up spiral with cutters. Place rings on a flat surface wallop'em with a hammer to flatten (the fun bit) squeeze up and solder rings. Did it for a commission once, needed 60, NEVER AGAIN.
Grymm/Marc
grymm23@yahoo.co.ukGrymmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14555916297487206078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017761137359152736.post-51327733648354445762007-09-16T04:25:00.000-04:002007-09-16T04:25:00.000-04:00I think one of the aspects of historical costume t...I think one of the aspects of historical costume that we most often ignore is age-appropriateness. We fall in love with a style in a painting that is shown only on teenagers and we disregard that it won't fit someone of out time of life.

When you mentioned this, the first thing that popped into my head was this image (larger part of it here) It shows that the styles of dresses changed as people aged.pearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02162366096516710709noreply@blogger.com
